I was inspired by Dr. Deb Ortega’s course, Power, Privilege and Oppression, which all MSW social worker students take their first quarter in the program. me to you to us: a generative zine maker explores the process of becoming an ally which begins with a metacognitive exercise (i.e., self reflection of the “I”), followed by acknowledgement of others (i.e., the humanization of “you”), followed by the understanding of how we can co-create the “us” together. Two people sit together side by side and take turns taking pictures and sharing information about themselves. The final output is an 8 page zine that will generate a letter size (8.5 x 11) jpg that can be printed out and folded into a zine using a laser or inkjet printer. Tool: p5.js
